About

Hi! My name is Gaurika, and I can be your next intern!

I have been designing human-centred interactions

since I was 16 and I have not stopped since! Through participating in more than 20 hackathons during high school, I gained early exposure to building solution-driven user interfaces and learning how to design thoughtfully in a fast-paced, tech-focused environment. This hands on experience sparked my interest in designing apps and websites, ultimately leading me to pursue a degree in design and work towards turning my passion into a career in UI/UX.

Outside of designing interfaces and completing assignments, you will usually find me watching sitcoms, curating Spotify playlists for every mood and occasion, (check one of my favourites on the right), playing pool with friends, or exploring cute cafés around the city.

MY CORE VALUES AS A DESIGNER

Design is the balance of ease of use and aesthetics.

The finest designs are perceived as simple and fluid, masking complexity through intentional, minimal decisions while

conveying distinctiveness.

Design, to me, is the balance between ease of use and aesthetics. An effective design should appear seamless and visually appealing, even though every aspect has been thoroughly considered.

I believe the best design hides its complexity—users should never have to think about how something works, only that it works. I prioritize minimalism as a foundation, enhanced by subtle character that defines a design without overwhelming it.

Each design decision is made purposefully to build interfaces that are intuitive, visually serene, and thoughtfully understated.
